Workshop website promotion and online marketing

The SMART-Fish Indonesia programme, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and implemented by UNIDO, recognizes the potential of Indonesia’s marine-based sectors and aims at strengthening selected value chains within the Indonesian fisheries export sector. To unlock Indonesia's potential and support a sustainable growth of the Indonesian seafood and seaweed industry, Globally Cool was invited by UNIDO to play a lead role in converting the enormous potential of Indonesia’s seafood and seaweed industry.

Next to developing a branding and promotion strategy for the different associations Globally Cool coached and trained association members in bringing their own websites to the next level as well.

Activities

  • Existing websites were assessed on their homepage, usability and search engine optimisation.
  • Association members received training in website strategy, search engine optimisation and in how to build and maintain WordPress websites.
  • Association members were coached and supported in updating or creating websites.

Results

  • 27 companies received a thorough assessment of their website with initial tips on how to deal with shortcomings.
  • 30 individuals were trained in the use of WordPress and about the essentials of modern websites.
  • 12 companies launched new websites. For a few examples take a look at the websites of Indonusa Algaemas, Pr1megum and Wahyu Putra Bimasakti.
