Directory for apiculture sector in Ethiopia

We have gladly contributed to a joint Norad and UNIDO country project for Ethiopia. Its ultimate objective is to improve market access and increase export opportunities of honey products from Ethiopia to foreign markets.

In collaboration with a local expert and the Ethiopian Apiculture Development Association (EADA), we created the Ethiopian Apiculture Directory. It contains details of over 2,000 stakeholders, such as beekeepers, associations, retailers, exporters, input providers, bee breeding institutions, quality inspection bodies, and government agencies. This version of the directory focusses on the Oromiya and Tigray regions, although plans exist to upgrade it to a wider geographic scope. Also the EADA may convert the directory into an online version as part of a follow-up phase.

Please feel free to download your copy of the Ethiopian Apiculture Business Directory (PDF).
