Introducing new team member: Elske Muijs
Hello all! I am Elske and I joined Globally Cool as of the beginning of 2018 after fulfilling numerous positions within the field of procurement. In my previous work as a buyer I enjoyed the networking aspects. I got a lot of energy from the multidisciplinary collaboration in multinational organisations. Nevertheless, the opportunity to work for Globally Cool, dealing with a broad number of topics on international scale grasped my interests. It stimulated my career switch from procurement to the enhancement of international business and trade.
My past years
I grew up in Lusaka, Zambia. The combination of a life in both Zambia and the Netherlands gave me the privilege to benefit from the best of both worlds. I was also able to experience and analyse international dimensions from a young age. Considering my background and interest it was just common sense that I completed my education at Nyenrode Business University with a Master in International Management. A wise decision, which further enhanced my interests in international business and markets.
After graduation, I fulfilled positions as procurement specialist and procurement manager at Dutch multinational FrieslandCampina and Vattenfall, a Swedish multinational player. In these positions I was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and contracting (investment) projects for numerous operating companies within the EMEA region and for building supplier relationships.
Looking into the future
At Globally Cool, I will be holding a position as international marketing consultant. Executing projects for international organisations in the field of market analysis, best market selection, formulation of marketing strategies and training / coaching in these areas. A very cool step indeed, where my creativity, analytical skills and consultancy capabilities are put to great use. I can truly say that my enthusiasm is constantly triggered!
