IDENTIFICATION OF BUYERS FOR ALPACA HOME TEXTILES IN GERMANY

We supported PromPeru in identifying potential buyers in the German market for Peruvian alpaca home textile products. The project was focused on these home textiles, since they are Peru’s main alpaca export product.

Globally Cool has supported PromPeru in identifying potential buyers in the German market for Peruvian alpaca home textile products. The project was focused on Peruvian alpaca home textiles, as this is Peru’s main alpaca export product. It was done through a blend of desk research and field research at the world’s leading trade fair for consumer goods, Ambiente in Frankfurt, Germany. Globally Cool identified over ten potential leads in Germany and provided a report including the highlights of the German home textiles market, trends, findings identified during the fair visit to Ambiente and the interviews held with the potential buyers.

Activities

  • Collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative information through primary and secondary sources on the European region.
  • Profiling, longlisting and shortlisting of buyers through a number of sources.
  • Field interviews at the leading fair for consumers goods, (Ambiente in Frankfurt) with potential buyers in Germany for the Peruvian offer of home textiles, mostly specialized importers and retailers.
  • Conducted in-depth telephone interviews with selected potential buyers in Germany for the Peruvian offer of home textiles, mostly specialized importers and retailers

Results

  • Identification of 11 high end potential buyers in Germany.
  • Detailed company profiles of these buyers including sourcing preferences and specific needs.
  • Report with the highlights of the German home textiles market, including trends, and other findings identified during the fair visit to Ambiente, the interviews held with the potential buyers and conclusions.
