In the framework of the EU project that aims to bring innovation and growing exports to the Egyptian Engineering sector, Globally Cool developed a good practice benchmark study of other countries that were successful in exporting engineering products to the EU market.

Activities

  • Conducting interviews with four market and sector experts to gain in-depth knowledge about companies in other countries, mainly in the Middle East and Asia, that were successful in exporting engineering products to the EU market.
  • The collected success stories were tailored to the Egyptian context to highlight good practices specifically for Egyptian engineering companies.
  • A comprehensive good practice benchmark study was written based on the gathered information.

Results

  • A comprehensive good practice benchmark study of companies in multiple countries that were successful in exporting engineering products to the EU market. These good practices of companies located in other countries were tailored to the Egyptian context.
  • Threats and opportunities for Egyptian engineering companies aiming to start, or increase, exporting to the EU market were highlighted.
