Kathrin has worked for over ten years in supporting the private sector in developing countries – individuals, enterprises as well as public and private business support organizations. Her expertise particularly relates to the development of export-oriented agricultural value chains, covering aspects ranging from mentoring and advisory for suppliers in achieving necessary production improvements to organizing matchmaking and B2B events facilitating direct buyer-seller relations.
Kathrin specializes in the production of processed foods, food ingredients and fresh fruits and vegetables, but also possesses much experience in natural ingredients for cosmetics. Africa is her main area of operation, having lived for about four years in Mozambique. But this does not keep her from working in other regions – particularly favoring all Portuguese speaking countries around the world.
During her work the past eight years back in Germany, Kathrin has been in constant exchange with German and European buyers, initiating contacts, facilitating communication and inviting purchasers to buying and selling missions as well as to join B2B meetings on trade fairs. Her network among the German private importing sector is large and does not only comprise many individual importing companies, but also contacts to sector associations and partners.
