As European consumers increasingly seek clean-label, functional, and ethically sourced foods, Caribbean producers are stepping up with unique natural offerings. In May 2025, five CARIFORUM companies brought their health-oriented food products to the spotlight at Vitafoods Europe in Barcelona, supported by Caribbean Export and with expert guidance from Luz Maria and Alfons.
Laying the groundwork: readiness assessments and digital scans
The journey began with tailored export readiness and digital marketing assessments. Through structured diagnostics, each company—Kairi Chocolates, Kahkow, Benjamin Group, and Veusse Naturals—received a roadmap to boost their online presence and market preparedness. For instance, Kairi refined its brochure and social media strategy, while Benjamin Group spotlighted its coconut and jackfruit innovations to align with nutraceutical trends.
Targeted webinars and assignments
A five-part webinar series, hosted via the Globally Cool Academy, delivered hands-on insights into EU food market trends, compliance standards, market entry strategies, and trade show tactics. These interactive sessions laid the foundation for each company’s personalised Go-To-Market Strategy, reinforced through practical assignments and one-on-one coaching.
Strategic coaching
From pricing benchmarks to packaging design, Globally Cool coached each company to align with European buyer expectations. Notably, Veusse Naturals developed new packaging and refined pricing, while Kahkow prepared targeted product listings and a promotional LinkedIn campaign.
Market orientation and buyer engagement in Barcelona
Ahead of the trade fair, companies participated in insightful store visits and B2B meetings with Spanish buyers, including Ven Vegano, Delykatt & Delice, and Feliubadaló. These engagements revealed critical insights into supply chain logistics and buyer preferences, guiding the companies in adjusting their strategies accordingly.
An empowerment session helped consolidate findings, refine pitches, and prepare social media campaigns, turning learnings into action just ahead of the trade show.

Making waves at Vitafoods Europe 2025
During the three-day event, Globally Cool provided on-site support—coaching, pitching, and helping companies engage proactively with buyers. Each day began with performance briefings and ended with debriefs, ensuring constant learning and improvement.
Results were tangible. Kairi Chocolate is now exploring a new line of functional chocolates. Veusse Naturals connected with a lead to scale production. Benjamin Group is preparing samples for potential buyers. Kahkow, drawing significant interest, is following up on numerous leads and refining its digital presence for the EU market.
