West Africa Connect brings demand and supply together

July 22, 2021

We mentioned it before: We’re working on the very exciting West Africa Connect platform for WACOMP (West Africa Competitiveness Programme). Together with UNIDO and ITC, we’re developing two ‘Meet the Buyers’ events for textile & garments and IT supplies from West Africa.

The event will be held online on November 16th and 17th, 2021. Multiple individual B2B meetings will take place during the course of the event, along with exciting talks and interesting masterclasses. In the run-up to the event, we created a website, set up a matchmaking tool, and started identifying buyers from West Africa, Europe and North America.

The event is valuable for sellers and buyers of textile & garments products and IT services. Sellers will get the opportunity to present themselves to procurement managers of national and international companies. For buyers, West Africa is an interesting sourcing region because of its untapped potential and access to unique custom-made fabric and garments made from local raw materials from emerging designers.
