Introducing New team member: Esmée Wiering

February 4, 2020

Hi all! I’m Esmée and I’m very pleased to join the Globally Cool team.

My background
I love working in an international environment and learning about other cultures and languages. As such, I studied European Studies and International Business & Management and got my Masters degree cum laude. For the ERASMUS student exchange programme, I spent half a year in Spain, studying at la Universidad de Valencia. Dutch and Frisian are my native languages. In addition, I speak English, quite some Spanish and French.

In my career so far, I have been working for a large international packaging company that serves international beer and beverage manufacturers. My responsibility was to do forecast analysis and manage the relationships between the customer, internal organization and other European plants of the company. In addition, as a scrum master I helped scrum teams with improvement projects.

Getting to know me
In my spare time I enjoy doing sports such as running, barre and yoga. Furthermore, I like to visit other countries and explore other cultures. Beautiful places I have been to include Ronda and La Alhambra Granada in Spain (I love the Spanish language!) and Liguria and Tuscany in Italy. I very much like going out for dinner with friends and family too!

Looking forward
At Globally Cool I will be holding a position as International Trade Adviser. This includes executing market research, trade analysis, developing export strategies and giving export training and coaching. A great opportunity where I can use my market research and analytical skills.
