Towards an EU helpdesk in Libya: Go or No go?

The Libyan economy is facing difficult times. Political instability is taking its toll and leads to many supply chain challenges affecting trade in a very negative way.

In order to address this issue, and identify opportunities for especially young and women entrepreneurs in Libya, we are conducting a feasibility study on the establishment of an EU trade helpdesk.

In the next few months we will keep you posted on the progress of this exciting project.

Video Script

We are currently doing a feasibility study for the establishment of an EU Trade Helpdesk in Libya. We do that on behalf of Expertise France, that is running an EU project in Libya.

As part of the feasibility study, we are doing a trade analysis, interviews with European businessmen, interviews with Libyan businessmen to identify the constraints that they face with the trade development and we also look at the solutions how to overcome the challenges. Based on that analysis we determine together with Expertise France the feasibility of setting up such an EU Trade Helpdesk.

In this case, we practically look at innovative service sectors, including franchising formulas of European companies. We are really looking forward to this project.
