Product development with a combination of authenticity and comfort

How do you get a beautifully situated rainforest lodge back up to standard…? The modern customer wants rest but also excitement, and a certain degree of comfort. This can be a challenge, because the owners of this lodge did not want to touch the original concept: one with nature and in harmony with the local community.

To be able to use a holistic approach for this project, Cool Tourism Solutions sought for a solution in which the original concept was preserved and at the same time a number of innovations in product development were done. First a broad benchmark was made, followed by a target group analysis. After that it was time for some concrete product adjustments. At the end a market forecast was completed as well.

The client was super enthusiastic about the result. Especially about the innovative products such as a natural sweet water pool, an integrated wellness concept and use of ‘green’ energy sources. Next to that, a wonderful tree house was build, which lends itself extremely well for honeymooners!
