ProEcuador optimizing its impressive foreign trade network

During the first week of December 2014, Globally Cool conducted a 4-day workshop in Ecuador, executed for the CBI. In the framework of the institutional development component of the Exportapais programme, the workshop was conducted on improving the Return On Investment in ProEcuador B2B-events and Market Intelligence initiatives. The event was targeted to delegates of all 31 Foreign Trade Offices of Ecuador, which all gathered in Guayaquil, the head office of Pro Ecuador.
Some of the important topics that were covered by our cool coaches Joost van der Kooij and Pilar Lozano:
- the new management model and the role of Foreign Trade Representatives
- CRM as a key tool in trade and investment promotion management
- Trade event strategy
- Effective selling techniques
- Profiling and inviting the right buyers and investors.
The program achieved some excellent results, with Pro Ecuador’s Foreign Trade Representatives gaining insights, knowledge, methodologies and skills. Besides that, the obstacles and challenges to improving ROI on ProEcuador trade promotion and investment promotion initiatives were identified.
