‘Triple-P’ projects in the Philippines

August 15, 2011

Globally Cool and its Good and Green partners in the Philippines were invited by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Province of Leyte to run an identification tour of possible ‘triple-P’ projects in the province.

The projects are pinched on drives of local government units to generate more revenues and livelihood for the local communities, while contributing to preservation of wildlife, and the enhancement of marine sanctuaries and natural parks. A Return On Investment that would contribute to the triple-P bottomline: People, Planet and Profit.

The projects center around the conceptual development, implementation and marketing of eco-tourism destinations, sanctuaries and eco-adventure parks. During the identification tour we had discussions with representatives of the DTI and local government. The first MOU has been drafted.
